| dc.description.abstract | El sistema de kisspeptina, compuesto por los péptidos kisspeptina y su receptor GPR54, juega un papel crucial en la regulación del eje reproductivo y ha demostrado potencial terapéutico en oncología. En este proyecto, se llevó a cabo la síntesis química de nuevos análogos de kisspeptina 10, seguidos de su caracterización mediante espectrometría de masas y resonancia magnética nuclear (RMN). Posteriormente, se evaluaron sus propiedades farmacológicas a través de ensayos funcionales BRET, así como ensayos de migración y citotoxicidad en diferentes tipos de cáncer, incluyendo gástrico, mama, próstata y cervical. Los ensayos funcionales BRET permitieron determinar el agonismo de los análogos sintetizados, mientras que los ensayos de migración y citotoxicidad proporcionaron información sobre la capacidad de los compuestos para inhibir la migración celular y su potencial citotóxico en líneas celulares cancerosas. Entre los tipos de cáncer estudiados, se obtuvieron resultados particularmente interesantes en el cáncer cervical, sugiriendo un potencial prometedor para el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias terapéuticas basadas en análogos de kisspeptina 10 en este tipo de cáncer. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The kisspeptin system, composed of the peptides kisspeptin and its receptor GPR54, plays a crucial role in regulating the reproductive axis and has demonstrated therapeutic potential in oncology. In this project, the chemical synthesis of new kisspeptin 10 analogues was carried out, followed by their characterization by spectrometry masses and nuclear magnetic resonance (MRI). Subsequently, its pharmacological properties were evaluated through BRET functional assays, as well as migration and cytotoxicity assays in different types of cancer, including gastric, breast, prostate and cervical. BRET functional assays allowed determining the agonism of the synthesized analogues, while migration and cytotoxicity assays provided information on the ability of the compounds to inhibit cell migration and their cytotoxic potential in cancer cell lines. Among the types of cancer studied, particularly interesting results were obtained in cervical cancer, suggesting a promising potential for the development of new therapeutic strategies based on kisspeptin 10 analogues in this type of cancer. | spa |
