A prenatal care model is presented that takes into account the type of Colombian social security, with the barriers that arise from having a restricted manual of laboratory tests and a limited pharmacological arsenal, but also where rationality in the request must prevail. and their prescription and above all a commitment on the part of the health personnel who care for the pregnant woman. This model allows two patients to be adequately treated for the same cost as one who was seen according to the current model recommended by the Ministry of Social Protection. [Ortiz R, Beltrán MA.
