dc.description.abstractLa dermatitis herpetiforme es una enfermedad autoinmune ampollosa subepidérmica caracterizada por una erupción pápulo-vesiculosa pruriginosa asociada a depósitos granulares de IgA a nivel de la dermis papilar detectados por IFD. Esta enfermedad en piel se encuentra asociada a una enteropatía sensible al gluten la cual es generalmente asintomática. El examen microscópico revela microabscesosricos en neutrófilos y eosinófilos a nivel de las papilas dérmicas así como un infiltrado dérmico compuesto de linfocitos T, neutrófilos y eosinófilos. La patogénesis de la enfermedad aún es desconocida y se ha considerado que se trata de una enfermedad mediada por complejos inmunes tipo IgA. El tratamiento con dapsona es efectivo para la enfermedad y asociado a una dieta libre degluten se disminuyen los requerimientos del medicamento. [Armand B, Ávila MY, Pierard GE, ArreseJE. dc.description.abstractenglishDermatitis herpetiformis is a subepidermal blistering autoimmune disease characterized by a pruritic papulo-vesicular rash associated with granular IgA deposits at the level of the papillary dermis detected by IFD. This skin disease is associated with a gluten-sensitive enteropathy which is generally asymptomatic. Microscopic examination reveals microabscesses rich in neutrophils and eosinophils at the level of the dermal papillae as well as a dermal infiltrate composed of T lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophils. The pathogenesis of the disease is still unknown and it has been considered to be a disease mediated by IgA type immune complexes. Treatment with dapsone is effective for the disease and, associated with a gluten-free diet, the requirements for the medication are reduced. [Armand B, Ávila MY, Pierard GE, ArreseJE.
