dc.description.abstractLa alopecia es una patología cada vez más frecuente en la consulta de Dermatología especialmente en centros dermatológicos especializados en tricología, subespecialidad de la Dermatología encargada de diagnosticar y tratar patologías del pelo y cuero cabelludo. Representa un problema de salud que afecta a un gran número de personas en todo el mundo, su prevalencia difiere según el tipo de alopecia, puede ser una manifestación clínica de enfermedad sistémica y tiene un impacto negativo significativo tanto físico como emocional que afecta la calidad de vida de quien lo padece.spa
