dc.description.abstractSegún lo establece el Decreto 1295 de 1994, emanado por el Ministerio de Trabajo y Seguridad Social, define: "El sistema General de Riesgos profesionales es el conjunto de entidades públicas y privadas, normas y procedimientos, destinados a prevenir, proteger y atender a los trabajadores de los efectos de las enfermedades profesionales y los accidentes que pueden ocurrir como consecuencia o con ocasión del trabajo que realizan. Según el Ministerio de Trabajo, sólo el 25% de la fuerza laboral existente en el país está afiliada al Sistema General de Riesgos Profesionales; sumado a esto, el pobre conocimiento del mismo y la poca relevancia que se le ha dado a la medicina del trabajo en nuestro medio, hace difícil, a pesar de la legislación actual sobre el Sistema General de Riesgos Profesionales que las EPS's den el lugar que dichas políticas buscan rescatar, dentro del desarrollo del sistema general de seguridad social en salud en nuestro país.spa
dc.description.abstractenglishAs established by Decree 1295 of 1994, issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it defines: "The General System of Professional Risks is the set of public and private entities, rules and procedures, aimed at preventing, protecting and attending to workers from the effects of occupational diseases and accidents that may occur as a consequence or on the occasion of the work they perform According to the Ministry of Labor, only 25% of the existing labor force in the country is affiliated to the General System of Professional Risks added to this, the poor knowledge of it and the little relevance that has been given to occupational medicine in our environment, makes it difficult, despite the current legislation on the General System of Professional Risks, that the EPS's give the place that these policies seek to rescue, within the development of the general system of social security in health in our country.spa
