| dc.description.abstract | “Guillermo Espinosa es el maestro de una pintura que se sitúa a medio camino entre la figuración y una abstracción que toma como base un fondo de colores planos y espaciosos al estilo de los informalistas de la década del sesenta. Espinosa - incansable pintor de límites recursos - traza entonces sobre la superficie monocromática una figura tomada de su entorno semirrural: un instrumento de labranza (azadón o pala), una bicicleta, un pincel o una silla, con un evidente cariño por los objetos comunes. La expresividad nerviosa que caracteriza el color está equilibrada con la racionalidad de sus objetos alargados o de tamaño natural que admiramos en cuadros donde el color es el elemento que los enmarca y proyecta”. | spa |

Espinosa - a tireless painter of limited resources - then traces on the monochrome surface a figure taken from his semi-rural environment: a farm tool (hoe or shovel), a bicycle, a brush or a chair, with an evident affection for common objects.
