This thesis presents a comprehensive exploration of the evolution of teleassistance in arm and forearm rehabilitation, spanning from early videoconferencing experiments in the 1970s to the current landscape significantly shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. It highlights the convergence of technology and healthcare, examining modalities such as virtual reality and gaming, demonstrating a continuous adaptation to the growing influence of the Internet. The research focuses on developing an information system for teleassisted care, employing a mixed-methods approach and adopting the kanban method. The primary objectives include enhancing accessibility, mobility, and treatment, thereby advancing teleassistance and promoting a higher quality of life for patients with arm and forearm limitations. Notably, this investigation has successfully conceived and developed the platform "TerApphy." This comprehensive system not only aligns with contemporary teleassistance standards but also stands as an innovative and effective tool in arm and forearm rehabilitation. TerApphy represents a significant milestone in the convergence of technology and healthcare, providing practical and personalized solutions to improve the lives of patients with limitations in these anatomical areas.spa
