dc.description.abstractLa lactancia materna representa el mejor alimento para el niño en sus primeros meses de vida, como alimento único, y ofrece tales ventajas insuperables que ningún otro puede superar. Todo equipo interdisciplinario en el trato de estos pacientes debe conocer y estimular a la madre a alimentar ella misma a su hijo. Cualquier odontopediatra, conocedor de las ventajas fisiológicas y de salud oral, protegidas por esta alimentación, promueve su uso y lo recomienda como lo más adecuado para mantener la boca del niño saludable. dc.description.abstractenglishBreastfeeding represents the best food for the child in the first months of life, as a single food, and offers such insurmountable advantages that no other can surpass. Every interdisciplinary team in the treatment of these patients must know and encourage the mother to feed her child herself. Any pediatric dentist, aware of the physiological and oral health advantages protected by this diet, promotes its use and recommends it as the most appropriate way to keep a child's mouth healthy.
