| dc.description.abstract | El carcinoma mamario es una de las enfermedades más prevalentes entre las mujeres a nivel mundial, lo que hace crucial la detección temprana para mejorar las tasas de supervivencia. Este estudio presenta un modelo anatómico-funcional diseñado para simular las estructuras clave de la mama, como la areola y el pezón, con el propósito de enseñar el autoexamen mamario. Para su elaboración, se utilizó silicona Dragon Skin 30, un material con propiedades similares a las de la piel humana, que permite una palpación realista. La investigación incluyó la optimización de parámetros de impresión 3D, logrando moldes de alta calidad. Además, se abordaron aspectos relacionados con la fisiopatología del cáncer de mama, destacando síntomas clínicos como enrojecimiento, ardor y cambios de temperatura. Los resultados obtenidos indican que este modelo es una herramienta educativa eficaz para que las mujeres aprendan a identificar signos de cáncer, promoviendo la concienciación sobre la importancia del autoexamen y contribuyendo potencialmente a mejorar las tasas de supervivencia en la población femenina. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | Breast carcinoma is one of the most prevalent diseases among women worldwide, making early detection crucial to improve survival rates. This study presents an anatomical-functional model designed to simulate key breast structures, such as the areola and nipple, for the purpose of teaching breast self-examination. Dragon Skin 30 silicone, a material with properties similar to those of human skin, which allows for realistic palpation, was used in its development. The research included the optimization of 3D printing parameters, achieving high quality molds. In addition, aspects related to the pathophysiology of breast cancer were addressed, highlighting clinical symptoms such as redness, burning and temperature changes. The results obtained indicate that this model is an effective educational tool for women to learn to identify signs of cancer, promoting awareness of the importance of self-examination and potentially contributing to improve survival rates in the female population | eng |
