| dc.description.abstractenglish | Free-living amoeba keratitis has emerged over the last 30 years as one of the most difficult to diagnose corneal diseases with the lowest cure rates Its typical symptoms of severe eye pain, overestimated for a small corneal ulceration preceded by a history of trauma, contact with non-potable water or the use of contact lenses should make us suspect the presence of these microorganisms. Recently, treatments have become a little more effective, especially when the disease is detected in early stages, and in this regard, the development of diagnostic methods and the increase in clinical suspicion have been very useful. The description of three cases with special clinical characteristics, their management and post-treatment evolution is presented. | eng |
