| spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | Preeclampsia (PE) is a multisystem disorder exclusive to human pregnancy. Worldwide, it is directly and indirectly responsible for approximately 40,000 maternal deaths annually. Its incidence ranges from 5 to 7% and increases up to three times in developing countries. development, being the leading cause of maternal mortality in our country. In addition to the above, PE increases the risk of neonatal morbidity given mainly by the high prevalence of preterm birth and intrauterine growth retardation, therefore, the consequences of this on maternal and perinatal health make it a high risk entity. impact on public health. Despite the devastating consequences for the maternal-fetal unit, it is still not possible to predict or prevent this entity and its etiology remains a subject of great controversy. PE is known to be a risk factor for the development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) such as acute myocardial infarction, essential hypertension, and metabolic syndrome. Given the above, through this study, we will evaluate the presence of metabolic disease and hypertension in a sample of patients recruited by the GenPE project (healthy pregnant women and pregnant women with PE), who will be contacted again for a medical appointment in which A complete physical examination will be performed, a semi-structured survey will be applied, and a blood sample will be taken to determine the complete lipid profile and blood glucose. In order to determine the presence of metabolic disease and hypertension in women with and without a history of PE, in our population. | spa |
