Total knee replacement is a procedure that has improved the quality of life for patients with severe knee osteoarthritis. However, despite significant advances in prosthesis materials and patient selection, postoperative dissatisfaction remains high. Among the factors associated with this condition, as reported in the literature, are residual postoperative pain and functional scales such as the KSS Pain and Function Scale. In this study, a postoperative dissatisfaction rate of 13.49% at 3 months and 14.29% at 6 months was observed. Clinical, functional, and psychological variables were studied. Among the clinical variables, the visual analog scale for pain at 3 and 6 months was significantly associated with dissatisfaction at both times, indicating that higher scores are associated with a greater risk of dissatisfaction. The KSS pain scale at 3 and 6 months was significantly associated with dissatisfaction at both times; higher scores on the scale were associated with lower dissatisfaction. Among functional factors, the KSS function scale at 3 and 6 months was also significantly associated with dissatisfaction at both times; higher scores on the scale were associated with lower dissatisfaction. No significant association was found between psychological history and dissatisfaction at 3–6 months post-surgery following total knee replacement.spa
