| dc.description.abstract | La transformación digital está generando nuevas oportunidades para fortalecer los procesos productivos en el sector agrícola. Tecnologías como el Internet de las Cosas (IoT) permiten monitorear cultivos, optimizar el uso del agua, mejorar la toma de decisiones y aumentar la eficiencia en la producción. Sin embargo, el acceso y apropiación de estas tecnologías aún presenta brechas importantes en contextos rurales, especialmente para las mujeres agricultoras. En el municipio de Los Santos, Santander, muchas mujeres desempeñan un papel fundamental la sostenibilidad de sus hogares y comunidades. A pesar de su conocimiento práctico del territorio y de los cultivos, con frecuencia enfrentan barreras para acceder a herramientas tecnológicas que puedan potenciar su trabajo productivo, lo que ha causado que muchas de ellas abandonen en las actividades agrícolas. | spa |

Technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) allow for crop monitoring, optimized water use, improved decision-making, and increased production efficiency. However, access to and adoption of these technologies still presents significant gaps in rural contexts, especially for women farmers. In the municipality of Los Santos, Santander, many women play a fundamental role in the sustainability of their households and communities. Despite their practical knowledge of the land and crops, they frequently face barriers to accessing technological tools that could enhance their productive work, which has led many of them to abandon agricultural activities. | spa |
