The research focuses on exploring how psychological and emotional factors influence financial decision-making, particularly in the context of behavioral finance. It is assumed that classical models of financial decision-making, based on the perfect rationality of economic actors, do not fully capture the complexity of human behavior in the financial realm. The literature review encompasses the evolution of models of financial decision-making, from classical approaches based on expected utility theory to more contemporary perspectives of behavioral finance. Critically relevant theoretical and empirical models are examined, as well as the most significant contributions in the field, to provide a solid foundation for understanding the theoretical context in which the research takes place. Regarding the specific objectives, a thorough review of cognitive and emotional biases influencing the process of financial decision-making is sought. The key biases documented in the academic literature are identified and analyzed, exploring how these biases distort the perception and evaluation of financial information. Additionally, an attempt is made to understand how financial professionals perceive and respond to these biases in their daily work by conducting a structured survey. Survey results provide practical insights into financial professionals' perceptions regarding the prevalence of biases in the financial environment, as well as the identification of the most relevant specific biases. The survey was administered to financial professionals, with a total of 37 questions aimed at profiling each individual's characteristics, including financial knowledge, preferences, personal traits, and propensity to certain cognitive biases focused on financial contexts.spa
