dc.description.abstractEn los actuales momentos, la comunicación es básica para el desarrollo de cualquier comunidad y soporte de su economía; debido al aumento generalizado de las diferentes actividades humanas así como la necesidad de ofrecer servicios que van a satisfacer los mercados, son elementos básicos que nos obligan ha ofrecer calidad en cada una de nuestras funciones. La telefonía en los municipios intermedios de nuestro país se encuentran en un proceso de demanda que cada día va en aumento; pero la capacidad instalada es inferior a las necesidades reales que la comunidad requiere. Gracias a la apertura económica implantada por el gobierno del Doctor Cesar Gaviria y a las políticas de expansión y descentralización de los poderes públicos, Telecom ofreció al mercado la posibilidad de asociarse con empresas inversionistas; para ejecutar proyecto de telefónica en todo el territorio nacional. De las múltiples ofertas que se recibieron en la licitación de carácter internacional, la empresa favorecida fue la Canadience NORTHERN - TELECOM; la cual ingresa al país utilizando tecnología del mas alto nivel y respaldada por una solides económica verificada; es necesario acotar que la citada empresa cuenta con amplia experiencia en el ramo de comunicaciones, tanto en diseño de redes como construcción. Con la ejecución del convenio JOINT VENTURE NORTHERN TELECOM -TELECOM, se espera cubrir gran parte del territorio nacional y cubrir de esta manera las necesidades de comunicaciones.spa
